Have you ever HAD to tell someone about Jesus? There was a time, in my younger days, that I hardly ever mentioned Jesus to anyone. A few times to really close friends, but hardly ever in my younger days. It was usually because I was doing things with them or on my own that I knew wasn't right (usually like partying or drugs). As I got older I got more comfortable and felt compelled to tell people in certain situations, at certain times, about the Good News. There is no black and white method to this, when the spirit moves; you just come out with the truth of Christ. It usually happens when the person is at rock bottom or a very low place in their life. Today, on Facebook, one of my friends (that I actually don't know in real life) posted and was feeling down.
