Conviction Story
Have you ever HAD to tell someone about Jesus?
There was a time, in my younger days, that I hardly ever mentioned Jesus to anyone. A few times to really close friends, but hardly ever in my younger days. It was usually because I was doing things with them or on my own that I knew wasn't right (usually like partying or drugs).
As I got older I got more comfortable and felt compelled to tell people in certain situations, at certain times, about the Good News. There is no black and white method to this, when the spirit moves; you just come out with the truth of Christ. It usually happens when the person is at rock bottom or a very low place in their life.
Today, on Facebook, one of my friends (that I actually don't know in real life) posted and was feeling down. I'll summarize what he said: basically he posted that he had money and had pursued money his entire life. He said, this would not make you happy, he wished he could do it over again, and that you should pursue your passions. I could tell he was feeling depressed. He got a few responses, some humorous, some agreeing, but no one giving him the truth.
The truth is that without Jesus nothing will fulfill you for long. No relationship, no destination, not a house, not money, no career, or anything else in this world will fill that hole. I commented and told him what I'm telling you here. I hope it helps him.
Next time you have the opportunity I encourage you to plant a seed. You never know, you may be the ONLY one that can or will. The truth cuts like a sword, you may get blow-back... you may get laughed at... but you never know what that seed will yield. It may not even be that person but a person close to them that the seed grows in but you will have done your job.
I need this lesson the same as you. Don't let an opportunity pass if it becomes available.
Make hay while the sun is shinning. 😉
SEEK HIM WHILE HE MAY STILL BE FOUND!
Isaiah 55:6-7
6 Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
I love you all.
