All Things Are Yours In Christ

You can't take anything with you when you leave this world. When you look around at this world, you may think that the luxuries of this life look pretty good.  In truth, it's all just ashes and dust.  We should lay our treasures(good works) up in heaven because that is the only thing we can take away from this life. I Corinthians 3:21-23 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;  22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;  23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.  -Click here to read my first blog article if you haven't given your life to Jesus- As the above text explains, we ALL belong to God.  We have free will in this life, we can choose our path.  In reality, there are only two paths.  As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. I Corinthians 4:5 5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come...

O Death, Where Is Thy Sting?

Image
Christ defeated death for us all when he died on the cross.  1 Corinthians 15:55-57 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have power over everything in this world in Jesus name.  If you have something negative in your life, anything, then you can command it in Jesus name to leave you.  Don't be in bondage to ANYTHING.  If you are feeling down, if you need a better(different) job, if you need to break an addiction, a new or different place to live, a new or different partner, literally anything.  God gives us an awesome gift, reach out and use it! Hebrews 2:14-15 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  15 A...

Conviction Story

Have you ever HAD to tell someone about Jesus? There was a time, in my younger days, that I hardly ever mentioned Jesus to anyone.  A few times to really close friends, but hardly ever in my younger days.  It was usually because I was doing things with them or on my own that I knew wasn't right (usually like partying or drugs).  As I got older I got more comfortable and felt compelled to tell people in certain situations, at certain times, about the Good News.  There is no black and white method to this, when the spirit moves; you just come out with the truth of Christ.  It usually happens when the person is at rock bottom or a very low place in their life.  Today, on Facebook, one of my friends (that I actually don't know in real life) posted and was feeling down.  I'll summarize what he said:  basically he posted that he had money and had pursued money his entire life. He said, this would not make you happy, he wished he could do it ove...

Eternal Life Is Available To Everyone - Whomsoever Will

When Jesus laid down his life on the cross, died, and rose again on the third day; he completed God's plan for one and all time so that whosoever will (anyone, everyone) can be saved from sin and have everlasting (eternal) life.  Man could never live up to the law, we are imperfect beings.  Jesus' sacrifice and triumph made it possible for us to be covered by his blood and in God's eyes by accepting Jesus into your heart and confessing him before man; his blood covers your sinful nature. There is SO much to this lesson but I started here because, essentially, this is what it is ALL about.  As you get a deeper relationship with Christ and travel on your journey (through your life) there is MUCH more to understand and uncover but truthfully this is the MOST important truth. Now I'll give you some scripture to backup my ramblings 😉 John 3:15-17 15  That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16  For God so loved the world, tha...

This site, like God's Word, is for whomsoever will: Whomsoever will read, listen, receive, prayerfully consider, sow in to, etc. We will be studying God's letter to us, The Bible. First study will be coming soon! In His Service, E. Travis Gibson
