O Death, Where Is Thy Sting?
Christ defeated death for us all when he died on the cross.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have power over everything in this world in Jesus name. If you have something negative in your life, anything, then you can command it in Jesus name to leave you. Don't be in bondage to ANYTHING. If you are feeling down, if you need a better(different) job, if you need to break an addiction, a new or different place to live, a new or different partner, literally anything. God gives us an awesome gift, reach out and use it!
Hebrews 2:14-15
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
This is explaining that Jesus came to Earth in the flesh, just like us; he did this to defeat death for us that we may have everlasting life. While he was in the grave for three days he was busy destroying death(devil) before he was raised to glory on the third day. We were in bondage, or slaves, to death but now by believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth; we are heirs to the kingdom of God.
THAT IS THE GOOD NEWS!
Things will be tough in this world while we walk around in our flesh bodies. It rains on the just and unjust alike... but fret not brothers and sisters, WE HAVE THE VICTORY. Don't be pushed around by Satan and worldly troubles, pray in Jesus name and cast them out of your life. I encourage you to talk to your Heavenly Father daily in prayer, ask for His will to be done in your life.
